Competition.
It was the first national broadcasting organisation. Firstly found by 6 telecommunications to mainly broadcast on radio. By 1932 they began to experiment with television broadcast. In 1955, ITV was a competition to BBC. BBC was a monopoly company for radio broadcast and was praised for it's diverse outputs whereas ITV was criticized for not providing high quality programs.
