    What is resource loading? How does it differ from resource levelling?

    The amount of individuals resources a specific activity requires during certain time periods. Resource loading can be illustrated by: Resource usage calendar Modified PERT/CPM AOA diagram (similar with Gantt Chart) PM responsibility: Demand for resources does not exceed resource capacities. Ensure that the required resources, in the required amounts.

    Approaches to even out the peaks and valleys of resource requirement so that fixed amount of resources can be employed over time. Aims to minimize the period-by-period variations in resource loading by shifting tasks within their slack allowances. Purpose to create a smoother distribution of resource usage.

    Name three efficiency criteria that might be considered when choosing a multiproject scheduling system.

    Schedule Slippage It is the time past a projects due date. Resource Utilization It is about making resources available and their optimum utilization. In-process Inventory It is the amount of work waiting to be processed because of shortage of some resource.
