Title: DALI (DIRECT ADDRESSING LIGHTING INTERFACE)

Synopsis: The main aim of the project is to design an implement DALI in


real time using micro controller.

DALI is a standard implemented by Philips and used world wide for lighting
applications.

In this project we are using a master that’s is the PC that is programmed


using the C language such that it receives commands from the user and
transmits the same to the slave micro controller using the PC port. The slave
micro controller is also programmed using the assembly language such that
on receiving the command from the master it performs particular tasks as
assigned to it like intensity control, speed control, switching the devices etc.
depending on the requirements specified by the user corresponding operation
are found on the PC. This way this technology can replace all the switches in
buildings and increases the efficiency of the project. The block diagram is as
shown below.
