TAKING EM TO CHURCH
AMPAI KINDERGARTEN
Summer was time for extra activities-this was a day camp. they usually went for a week.
PART OF JACKIES MINISTRY WAS TRAINING OTHERS TO DO WHAT SHE DID. THIS IS JESSICA WHO STAYED WITH US FOR A FEW MONTHS & HELPED WITH JACKIES WORK.
Dow & Amp were bobs students but wanted some on-the-job training so jackie took them to work with her for a short time.
teaching english was an excuse to do two things: improve the lives of the students and to open doors to share christ.
mae, hugging me, was the leader of the christian club on campus. the girl to my right came to christ and married my intern and is strongly encouraging jackie and i to come back and start a school with them.
Chuck, local pastor in st. auggie, joined us on this adventure and wed have parties for the students. Each time wed have someone share the gospel, usually a Thai peer from Christian club did the sharing.
thailand is about 97% buddhist. the one above us is about as big as st. justins church

THE PHILIPPINES: Smokey Mountain garbage dump--it never stopped burning and villages were built on top of the garbage so people scrounged for anything of value to sell.
Philippine poverty
no matter how poor, kids smile and old women ask for help
open sewers spilled over onto the dance stage. Even the kids go on outreach-Jordie from Canada seated, Jackie, Marcia & Alaina reaching out.
HONG KONG
our house in hong kong: 3/2, 700 sq ft. our kids are in the windows upstairs with jackie and rosie (the dog) below.
A little aside: This was in Taiwan at a church we stayed at on an outreach. I could do anything in those days. 3rd floor, no net. jackie in brazil doing drama on the streets with our team.
back to hong kong: The craziest staff ive ever had. they went to the airport dressed like this to pick up a student.
Hong Kong Discipleship Training School: each school we ran (13 in all) had students from all around the world.
how do you end this? the banner behind jackie ends it nicely...
