net CCSD Human Resources: I am currently seeking a teaching position in an elementary classroom within the Clark County School District. In December of 2011 I will receive a credential in Elementary Education from Nevada State College. Not only am I qualified for this position, but I am eager and ready to fulfill all necessary requirements. Currently, my experiences working with children during my student teaching, at Twitchell Elementary School, have been invaluable. Being able to build a mutual respect and rapport with my students and colleagues, has been a great foundation for my success as a teacher. Trying new teaching strategies and adapting the content for all learners is very important to me, because it shows me what works for each individual child. During my 100 hours of observations in various schools and grade-levels throughout CCSD, I have been able to study many different teaching styles and management systems. Goals and objectives always need to be clearly expressed to all students, in order to set the stage for learning. All of this has helped me to establish my own teaching strategies, and how I manage my classroom. Becoming a teacher has been an ambition of mine since I was in elementary school, and I want my students to leave my classroom knowing that they have the potential to be whatever they want, when they grow up.
