July 2009

INTRODUCTION
This Bicol Polangui (English-Bicol-Tagalog) book was originally intended as a compilation for the use my children, nephews and nieces who are not conversant with the Bicol dialect. But after going through the collection, I thought why not share it to other people by having it published. Hence, this Bicol Polangui dictionary, the first published reference material through the http://learnbicol.blogspot.com.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to acknowledge the following individuals who made this endeavor possible: Ms. Vine Remon-Mariscotes, Ms. Merissa Marfega, and Mr. Ron-Ron Mariscotes who patiently reviewed and edited the contents of the book; Ms. Ayen Santayana and Ms. Nelly Ronda, who provided the Foreword; A Life of Higher Awareness (ALOHA) staff Bong, Tony, Alice and Aimee, who gave me the encouragement to finish the project. Ms. Loree Cruz-Mante and Cora Sapo who gave some pointers on how to publish the book; and Mr. Iraneus Lorenzo Remon, my eldest son, who patiently assisted me in launching this book through the internet.

DEDICATION
Lovingly dedicated to my family my wife, Marites and my three sons, Ira Boy, Gelo and Pao

HOW TO USE THIS BOOK

The first part of this book is the compilation of English words from A to Z and the corresponding equivalent words in Bicol-Polangui and Tagalog. Each English word in the first column is followed by the abbreviation of its part of speech (i.e., n for noun, pron for pronoun, v for verb, etc.). The second column is the equivalent Bicol-Polangui word and the third column, the Tagalog word. The second part is the compilation of the lessons in conversations - greetings, expressions, commands and other common words. 2
