Meet on the playground near 68th and Mohawk. Hotdogs will be provided by the school for volunteer workers.
Tubman School is a community focal point with 30 donated fruit trees on campus and a goal to become a joint-use school/ community green space. There will be a hands-on pruning demonstration of the schools dormant and winter fruit trees in the garden following the regularly scheduled neighborhood beautification event. Due to funding cuts, volunteers and donors are still needed for: Weeding Tree trimming Planting Trash pickup Drip irrigation installation and repair Making/bringing snacks

Dave Yetz: Past-chair California Rare Fruit Growers organization and professional horticulturist for the Water Conservation Garden Robin Rivet: ISA Certified Arborist and administrator at the Advice and Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) for urban forestry at the California Center for Sustainable Energy The UCCE Master Gardeners will also set up an information table during the day to help answer general gardening questions.
