    Dan Boone was elected as the new president of Trevecca Nazarene University. Boone, a 1974 graduate of Trevecca, will succeed Dr. Millard Reed as president on July 1, 2005. He has served as the senior pastor of College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais, Illinois. More than 2,100 students from eight states will visit Trevecca from March 30 to April 2 for an event called Top Nazarene Talent, known as TNT, where they will display their talents.     Dan Boone elected as Trevecca's new president


    Trevecca's Board of Trustees held their annual meeting March 17-19, 2005. This meeting was a special one because the group elected the person that will succeed Dr. Millard Reed as president of the University. Dan Boone, a 1974 graduate of Trevecca and the senior pastor of College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais, Illinois, was elected on the 16th ballot. Boone earned a master of ministry, in 1977 from Nazarene Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry in 1996 from McCormick Theological Seminary. He served as pastor for College Hill Church of the Nazarene from 1985-1991. He will officially begin tenure as president on July 1, 2005. Dr. and Mrs. Boone will visit the campus and be introduced to the community in April.

    physical, creative, and spiritual gifts during Top Nazarene Talent, better known as TNT. During this event the road between \V'oodard and Hart Street will be closed to thru traffic on Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1. The campus community will be unusually busy during these days.
