Plant With Purpose Hosts 27th Annual Planting Hope Gala on October 8th
Dinner and Auction at Paradise Point Resort in Mission Bay to Benefit Rural Poor SAN DIEGO September 8, 2011 -- Plant With Purpose, a local nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of the rural poor worldwide through environmental solutions to humanitarian problems, will host its largest fund raising event of the year, the Planting Hope Gala on Saturday, October 8th, 2011 at a sparkling new venue, Paradise Point Resort in Mission Bay. The evening will include an exciting silent and live auction, a surf and turf dinner with free-range, grass-fed beef and fresh, locally-grown produce and select wines, a special performance by local Haitian band, Lounge a Dieu, and the chance to partner with Plant With Purpose through a special Fund A Need auction to support critical needs in the six countries where the organization works. Attendees will hear the latest news on the exciting work Plant With Purpose is doing across the globe, and witness the premiere of a never-before seen video highlighting the successful Village Savings and Loan program (VICOBA) used by farmers in Tanzania.
