Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology, (VCET) located at Puttur, near Mangalore is one of the reputed engineering colleges in the Coastal Karnataka region. It is developing as a centre for excellence imparting quality education to the youth, particularly to the rural youth and is marching forward towards achieving its goal of imparting quality technical education in a traditional way.

The Institute is spread over 25 acres of land and is located on the Mangalore-Mercara State Highway (48 km from Mangalore and 13 km from Uppinangadi on Mangalore - Bangalore National highway). The college is an ideal place for academic pursuits. The campus is surrounded by lush green scenic beauty which is away from the din of city. The institute has well-experienced and qualified faculty, modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art laboratories, active training and placement cell, high-end computing systems with adequate software and networking, well-stocked library having subscription to National and International journals, digital library, English language laboratory, etc. Added to the above, industry interaction is provided through industrial visits, interactive sessions with technical experts, and additional exposure is provided through the Consultancy Wing of the various departments. Apart from the regular classroom lectures, the students also have access to browse and watch on-line video clippings of expert lectures from the University, IIT or IISc. via E-Vidya and EduSat programmes on various subjects of their discipline.

Students at an outset
The students at VCET undergo training from our strong faculty team as well as industry experts . The corporate interface is regular phenomenon at our institute. The faculty takes the role of a guide and mentor to help the student to understand the nitty gritty of the practical application of engineering & management theories.

Aptitude Test: Online/ Offline

Written Aptitude Test: We have 26 spacious Class Rooms with seating capacity of 800 students at a time. Our faculty members executes the responsibility of supervision.

For campus at Pool level, the Lunch & Breakfast arrangement is made at College Canteen which is located in the College Campus itself.

Online Aptitude Test: We have 7 Computer Labs with 300 HCL PCs in LAN with Internet Connectivity of 2 Mpbs Lease Line
