Recipe: Ziploc Bag Ice Cream

Objective
I can use what I know about functional text to answer all kinds of questions. I can follow a set of directions with picture cues to make ice cream. I can tell whether a task is complete by checking to make sure the steps were followed in the right order (with cue cards).

Step 1: Collect your ingredients.


cup whole milk 1 tablespoon (tbs) of sugar teaspoon (tsp) vanilla 2 cups ice cubes cup table salt

Step 2: Collect your supplies.


1 small Ziploc bag 1 large Ziploc bag 1 spoon Measuring cups Measuring spoons

Step 3
In

the small bag combine: cup whole milk

tablespoon sugar teaspoon vanilla

Securely

seal the small bag.

Step 5
In

large bag combine: 2 cups ice cubes

cup table salt

Step 6
Put

the small bag inside the large one.

Step 7
Securely

seal the large bag.

Step 8
Shake

the large bag until the liquid in the small bag turns into a solid.

Step 9
Open

large bag and pull out the small bag.

Step 10

Open small bag.


Use

spoon to eat!
