It is 50 yrs old market which started off in a very small scale but as soon as it developed it automatically incorporated all the valuable ingredients which made it a successful market.
Tilak nagar lies in West-Delhi , which is mostly a resettlement colony. Where refugees from north came and settled. Tilak nagar is mostly a Punjabi area. Initially this area had its own community level shopping area which was located in the center of the residential area.

The spinal road which connects west Delhi and central Delhi became more active , and hence it attracted commerce along the SHIVAJI MARG
