ACTIVITY REPORT
Month: November 2011 Activities 1: Upgrading Website in order to improve service to IBA members In order to improve our service to IBA members, we enhanced the capacity of the website (www.indonesian-biorisk.org), so that more information could be entered and downloaded from our website. Recently IBA website could be accessed in both languages, Indonesian and English. In addition, we developed a system where some materials, such as training materials, restricted for IBA members only whom paid the registration fee. Activity 2: Increasing Membership Until November 2011, IBA has 143 members. Registered member is given a card with number, which valid for one year. This number is useful to enter the website and get some information from it. Mostly of the members enrolled them-selves by attending seminars, training and workshops organized by IBA and some members have signed up through the website. Activity 3: Meetings On November 7, 2011, IBA was invited by the Ministry of Research and Technology for a meeting about Indonesia-China Technology Exhibition on December 2011, regarding products and innovations. IBA was not joined the exhibition due to the requirement was not match with our mission and vision. On November 29, 2011, The Finance Manager met Ibu Sri Yusnowati for budgeting. This meeting was held on Agricultural Quarantine Agency - Jakarta On Dec 18-20, IBA Program Manager and the Vice-President will meet the AsiaPacific Biosafety Association (A-PBA) Executive Members (EXCO) in Bali to discuss the preparation of the 7th A-PBA conference on April 2012 as well as to survey appropriate hotel for the conference. IBA plays a role for A-PBA as host for 7th A-PBA conference. Activity 4: Office Since November 1, 2011 IBA has its own office in the second building of Eijkman Institute, with contact number +62 21 31905003.
