Costumes Character: Anya

We messed up Beccas hair and smudged her eye liner which suggested that she has bee crying. It created a look that instantly informed the audience that something of a negative theme had happened. The feminine blouse and skirt gave off the required impression that our main character (Anya) had been at some form of party the night before.

We deliberately ripped and laddered her tights to give off the feeling that she has been involved in some sort of confrontation at/after the party the night before.

She also wore muddy, high heeled shoes which also suggests that she house been out the night before. The mud suggests that shes been running in fields, or some form of rural environment. As the audience does not clearly get to see the male in the film and what theyre wearing, his character only required a simple, but effective outfit. Therefore, Ryan chose to wear a pair of willies to suggest a rural theme/environment. Although, he also wore a thick hooded jacket to emphasize his size and height; this was to make the character of the kidnapper more menacing to the audience.
