Flat Screen Installation

Hanging a flat screen TV is an important task in the A/V


Overview world. It can be a time consuming process, but care and
thoroughness is required to provide a clean installation

Instructions:
1. Determine the customer’s desired height of the TV, taking into consideration outlet coverage and
clearance of other items on the wall.
2. Mark all stud locations with a painter’s tape.
3. Attach the TV-Side of the mount to the TV using the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Measure the distance from the bottom of that mount to the bottom of the TV.
5. Place the Wall-Side of the mount against the wall and mark the bolt hole locations on the studs.
(Ensure the mount is centered on the wall and that it is X inches higher than the desired height of the
TV, where X is the distance from the bottom of the mount to the bottom of the TV. (See step 4)
6. Pre-drill the lag bolt holes with the proper drill size.
7. Fasten the Wall-Side of the mount to the wall using 4 lag bolts.
8. Ensure the Wall-Side of the mount is level.
9. Using a 2nd person, lift the TV and bring it near the mount.
10. Make all necessary A/V and power connections.
11. Carefully lift the TV and set it on the mount.
12. Carefully slide the TV to the center of the mount.
13. Adjust the tilt of the mount as needed.
14. Conceal any wires that might be visible from the underside of the TV.
15. Using a Sencore device or calibration DVD, make all necessary video adjustments.
