1. Log in to the Moodle system with your username and password.

2. Select your course from the courses listed.


Click the desired course (e.g. Trial Course)

3. On the courses screen turn editing on by clicking the Turn on Editing button at the top right of the Click Turn editing On button page.

4. Next, select Settings in the Anti-Plagiarism notification window at the bottom right of the page (you may have to scroll down).

5. List of assignments for the course will be given. Depending on the search you wish to make, select either the Local or Global or both search option(s) for the desired homework. If you wish to detect plagiarism in the submitted assignment by comparing it with assignments other students have submitted, then select the Local option. If you wish to detect whether sources from the internet have been plagiarized then select the Global option. You may also select both options if you wish to detect plagiarism both locally and globally. Click the Save button to save the settings.

Select the search option for the homework you wish to check plagiarism for.

6. Wait for a few seconds to return to the Course screen or click Continue if you do not wish to wait.

7. Wait for a while for scheduler to process the submissions. If you are not sure whether scheduler is running properly on your Moodle installation plesea contact your system administrator with this question. 8. Once the script has finished processing the submitted documents, go to the Course page and select Report in the Anti-Plagiarism notification window at the bottom right of the page to view the results.

Click the Continue link to proceed.

Click on Report

9. Select the assignment for which you wish to see the results.

10. Next, click on anyone of the results displayed to see the details of the documents for which plagiarism was detected.

Click the link in the results to see details.

11. You can scroll through to see the what part of the document was plagiarized.
