    Guia Foundation is an organization that helps disadvantaged children and youth in Latin America. As a result, over 700 youth visited Guia's office on a job fair day to take the test.     Improving the lives of disadvantaged children and youths in Latin America


    The RIASEC test Since then Guia has carried out the RIASEC test with second grade students at more than 15 high schools in the suburban neighbourhoods of town. As a result the number of youths visiting the Guia office to do the test has increased. They discovered the other services Guia offers and many have decided to sign up with the Job Placement Project.

    How do you determine what profession would suit you best? For the youths in Bolivia supported by Guia there is not much advice or information available to help them make this decision and the youths often cannot rely on the support from their family. Internationally the RIASEC test is gaining popularity as a tool to choose the right profession or education. Based on a number of easy questions an indication is provided regarding the area or type of work that suits your personality, interests and capabilities. Guia amended the RIASEC test to Bolivian standards and society and made it suitable for participants from the Job Placement Project. On the 25th of May, during the 3rd edition of the job market (Feria Camino al Futuro) Guia organizes annually, youths from Sucre were offered the chance to do the RIASEC test. More than 700 young people filled out the form that day.

    New office Proyecto Bolsa de Empleo Guia In 2008 Guia opened its doors to young people looking for support to find and maintain a job. The growth and development of the project in the past few years has made the initial office unsuitable. Guia therefore relocated to a new office in a more central location in the city and with more space to receive young people and offer its services.
