The double page spread has synergy with the front cover; Lily is wearing the same shirt which is red and black which is quite bold and garish connoting that this reflects her style in music. Also, the lettering is the same, like each letter has been cut out of a newspaper; connoting that Lily Allen is in the media/newspapers a lot.

The NME double page spread follows the conventions by having a main image that takes up half of the page. Also, Lily Allen is looking straight into the camera denoting direct address having the effect that were in conversation with her. I dont feel that she is an example of the male gaze, as she looks quite androgynous.

The article has a stand first, which draws attention to the article by having the first sentence in bigger bolder writing. This is usually to introduce the article to grab peoples attention.

The colour scheme is very monochrome, maybe to match with the Im Just Honest quote from the drop cap, flamboyant bright colours would be inappropriate.
