Where are we going with our belly game now?
Zone and zone read

Zone
• We are running the belly zone to the TB off the speed sweep action • We like to run the zone to the 3 technique

Rules – 83/87 zone & 33/37 zone
• Zone (reach)

Marriages
• When we run our zone, we always talk about marriages between our linemen • Zone right • Even Odd • 2/3 2 solo • 4/5 3/4 • 6/7 (Cutback) 5/6 • 7 solo (Cutback)

TB rules
• Drop step on snap • Aim for butt of guard pre-snap • Be quick…but don’t be in a hurry

Problems
• Hard to block both inside linebackers in an 8 man front
– Have to bring the wing back inside

• Cannot run the zone read under center
– Too hard for QB to read 5 technique
