    Her Amazing Job


    ORIENTATION

    Cathay Williams was a former female from Independence, Missouri, who searched for a job after the civil war was over. Then, she tried out for cooking job in the in the Union Army. But, she found out she did not like cooking food for the soldiers. But, she changed her job again, and become a seamstress for the army instead. But, she soon found out she didnt like sewing uniforms for the soldiers either. Time by time , Cathay decided to join the Buffalo Soldiers. She was the only women one there because no women were allowed at that time to fight in the U.S. Army. Then, she planned something for entered the Buffalo Soldiers. The method was changed her name to William Cathay and so she enlisted in the U.S. Army. Finally, after she allowed to Buffalo Soldiers. She felt comfort and she loved her job as soldier and she was the only women ever to be a Buffalo Soldier.
