Assuming that the mass of the bird is 200g, at what angle would the catapult have to be pulled for the bird to hit that ground 80m from the starting point if the initial magnitude of the velocity was 12m/s

Assuming all birds started with the same initial velocity, would you expect the big brown bird or the little red to get further? Explain your answer.

Two identical birds are fired from catapults at the same position. The magnitude of the velocity is the same for each, however the first bird leaves at an angle which is much closer to the horizontal. Which would you expect to go further? Explain you answer using numerical examples.
