Self Portrait ME ME ME

This video serves as my intro to my portfolio. I wanted to get across the idea that i can work in a variety of mediums. Starting with drawing, the video starts out with a close up of a hand drawing a picture. Zooming out the camera begins to reveal the other mediums. As the camera moves back from the drawing hand, it reveals that it is an animated characters on a wall. The camera continues to move back revealing that the animated character is on a painted canvas. Next the camera moves into 3d space, the canvas becomes the backdrop of a set, with a silicone puppet standing in front of it. The puppet comes alive and begins to walk forward utilizing stop-motion. As the puppet reaches the edge of the set, a hand pulls the screen up like a piece of paper, revealing the blueprint or design aspect of the video. A mouse moves around the vector of the puppet and arranges the text to its final postion. The hand pulls the screen back down, leaving the viewer with my contact information and a picture of the puppet. All together, the video uses a combination of drawing, painting, sculpture, stop-motion, animation, as well as design. Take in to consideration the computer programs needed to make the video, and thats a whole lot techniques to make a 15 second piece! 1 1. The trajectory of the camera. The camera pulls back and then begins to start moving to the right. 2. Sketch of the painting and basic set. 3. The clay sculpture that is to be cast in silicone. 4. One of the transistions between techniques.
