What is a urinary tract infection?


A UTI is an infection in the urinary tract caused by microbes.

What causes UTIs?


Microbes including fungi, viruses and bacteria will cause infections.

Bacteria is the most common cause.

Who is at risk for a UTI?


Urinary tract infections are the second most common type of infection in the body. For women their risk of of having a UTI in their lifetime is 50%.

What are the signs and symptoms of UTIs?
