Once you have read The Devils Arithmetic complete a response to the book. The response must contain the following:
1. Choose an unique way to describe to storyline of the book. Be sure to include each element of a narrative plot (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution). (50 points - thats about 10 points per element) 2. An essay discussing the theme or underlying message you feel the author is conveying. Explain why you believe this is the theme of the book. 3. Give 5 examples of the authors use of figurative language (similes, metaphors, personification, idioms). (15 points)
