HEALTHY HEART
Cardiovascular disease involves abnormalities in the heart and blood vessel system according to the World Health Report 2003 has killed up to 16,7 million people each year, 29,2 % of deaths worldwide. Of these deaths, 80 % of them occurred in low income and developing countries, including Indonesia. This year, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in developing countries, attacked both men and women, in different geographical location, region or social conditions economic, so anyone who pays little attention to his health, will be at high risk for this disease. Cardiovascular disease include : Coronary ( or ischemic ) heart disease ( heart attack ) Cerebrovascular disease Hypertension ( high blood pressure ) Heart Failure Rheumatic heart disease Why does this happen ? Cardiovascular disease due to lifestyle changes. People are more likely to energydense foods, with a poor diet with balanced nutrition (consumption of fat, salt and processed foods, low consumption of fruits and vegetables), physical inactivity, smoking. These factors increase the risk of high blood pressure, cholesterol, overweight and obesity, as well as many other chronic diseases such as diabetes. This disease will lead to cardiovascular diseases. What can be done ? Someone who had experienced heart attacks and strokes have a tendency to recur and cause death. However, this can be avoided with the use of a combination of drugs that reduce work pressure and blood cholesterol levels. However, business remains the best prevention efforts, by providing services and better health education and widespread.

Remember !, A variety of prevention efforts can be done, include : Limit energy intake from fat Replace the fat intake of saturated fat to unsaturated fat Increase consumption of omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish oil and herbs Increase consumption of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds Avoid salty and sugary foods Be physically active. At least 30 minutes each day Avoid smoking Maintain ideal body weight Perform routine blood pressure measurement
