Convocation 2012 Speech

Abdul Rahman Qaim College of Computing & Information Sciences Assalamo Alaikum all of you,

Ladies and Gentlemen,4 Years back I felt under confidant and confused about what to do in life. Fortunately I got a chance to join PAF-KIET ,computer science program which changed the entire approach of perceiving things in my life and eliminated the deficiencies I had from my school and college. Here I found better environment and inspiring people who not only educated but also motivated me to think and live a directed and planned life. Talking about few of the personalities is important here Sir Khalid Khan, the person who has changed the traditional relationship between students and director and is always ready to listen to us.He is the best example of how to deal with students.He always gives students the confidence and motivation with which student can deliver the best and come up as an entirely different person. Sir Sohail Imran, is a treasure of immense knowledge,which he delivers with great calmness.Student can enjoy learning without getting under pressure with him. Sir Kashif Bashir is a great teacher with different styles of teaching.We all have experienced the pressure of his project deliverables and class quizes but at the end we found all those were his tools for increasing our learning and imparting the maximum essence of course. Sir Qasim was like a fresh air to the department,who not only teaches new and advance technologies to the students but also inspires them by demonstrating to them,..He knows very well how to build leadership qualities in students and motivates them. He has guided students not only in education but has always inspired them as a problem solver and decision maker in other aspects as well. I can never forget the sense of achievement we experienced when we successfully organized a National level event Combat 2010.While we were in the middle of preparation and we thought what the hell had we landed ourselves into but when we had done it, we were in a different world. the experience that we got and the hike in morale which we won turned into a psychological asset for all the time to come. Now I find myself as an entirely different person as I can now see life from different perspectives.Obviously this was only because of PAF-KIET. I congratulate my colleagues and friends for completion of this phase and I wish them all he best in future. I thank you all.
