Help a Future Nurse

Patsy Hurst Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund was established to create a legacy in Patsys name for the Kent State University at Ashtabula nursing program. Patsy graduated from this program in 2006 at age 51, fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. After a short battle with cancer, Patsy passed away October 20, 2011. The intent of this scholarship is to help aid nursing students who share the compassion, commitment, love and care that Patsy believed in, to complete his or her degree and go into the nursing profession to care for people with this terrible disease and all others in need of care. The scholarship will be for students in the nursing program at Kent State Ashtabula in at least their second year of the program. A minimum of $1000.00 has been established as the scholarship amount, and any contributions made will be added to increase this amount on a yearly basis to a deserving individual.

This is your opportunity to help fund the education of a future nurse. All monies donated will go directly into the scholarship fund to be distributed annually.
