ROLE OF MIS IN AIRTEL WITH RESPECT TO THREE LEVEL OF MANAGEMENT

WHAT IS MIS
MIS is right information to right person at right place at right time in right form at right cost. It is broadly reffers to a computer based system that provides managers with the tools for organizing, evaluating and efficiently running their departments.In order to provide past,present and prediction information, an MIS can include software that helps in decision making,data resources such as database the hardware resources of asystem.

FUNCTIONS OF MIS
Data capturing Processing of data. Storage of information. Retrieval of information. Dissemination of information.

Various Levels Of Management


Strategic Level. Management Control Level. Operational control level.

Top level Management


It is the ultimate source of authority . It manages goals and policies of an enterprise. It devotes more time on planning and coordinating functions. It consists of Board of Directors, Chief Executive, or Managing Director.

Roles Of Top Level Management


It lays down the objectives and broad policies of an enterprise. It issues necessary instructions for preparation of department budgets, procedures, schedules. It prepares strategic plans and policies for the enterprise. It controls and coordinates the activities of all the departments.

It is also responsible for maintaining a contact with outside world. It provides guidance and direction.

Middle Level Management


They are responsible to the top management for the functioning of their department. They devote more time to organizational and directional functions. The branch managers and departmental managers constitute middle level.
