    Once youve done your research and youre ready for a consultation, your doctor is your best source of information. Your consultation is an opportunity to educate yourself about Essure and ask any questions you might have. Here is a list of questions that you can use as a starting point:

    Where will my Essure procedure be performed? What type of anesthesia will be used during my procedure? What do I need to do to prepare for the procedure? When is the best time of the month to schedule my procedure based on my menstrual cycle? What are my options if both inserts cannot be placed on the first attempt? Can I continue to use my current method of birth control until my Essure Confirmation Test? Who will perform my Essure Confirmation Test? How should I schedule it?
