    It was important for us to go through the global issues surrounding water with the delegates.

    We began with introducing a typical occurrence in global communities: sickness through sanitation issues. Health is the most important issue concerning water as many diseases such as CHOLERA and DIARRHEA are a result of poor water sanitation. We taught the delegates about ACCESS (see Game Exercise below) and how difficult it was for people in global communities to fetch water. THE POVERTY CYCLE was also a matter of discussion, where we showed the delegates how poor sanitation affected people in global communities both PHYSICALLY and ECONOMICALLY. The presentation gave a bit more insight into topics explored in Tikhos story and opened the delegates minds on HOW IMPORTANT CLEAN WATER IS TO GLOBAL COMMUNITIES.
