Theorem 1. sin 10 is algebraic number. Proof. let sin 10 = x sin 30 = 3 sin 10 4 sin 10 = 3x 4x3 sin 180 = sin 6(30 )=ploynomial in x.(can be obtained by the formula of sin n) But sin 180 is root of the polynomial 4y(1 2y 2 ) = 1. Now substitute the polynomial expression of sin 180 in y we get a polynomial with integer coecients which has sin 10 as root. Hence sin 10 is algebraic number.
