Background Story of the short lm Deles War

Synopsis This lm is about a snapshot in the life of a hit man, Dele, going through an existential crisis after being ordered to put out a hit on a drug dealing Priest. His love interest, Girl, has no idea what he does or who he really is so she doesnt know if to stay or go. Character Bio Dele Intelligent hit man, cool and composed. Secretly snorts coke to calm his nerves. Hes been a sweeper for 8 years along with his best friend, Manny. Hes been sent to get some information and clean out the Priest. He is tired of doing what he does and every time he takes out a target, he loses a piece of himself. He badly wants to settle down. Manny Deles partner and best friend. He is a brute,who is just as smart as Dele but enjoys working with his hands instead. Manny seems to have no problem with their line of work. hes been with Dele these 8 long years and is coping just ne. As far as he his concerned, they are sweeping for a good cause. Manny has not been oblivious to Deles recent reluctance during hits, but chooses to ignore it hoping it is just a phase he is going through. Priest A Father who uses his religious position and inuence to transport dope across the border of Benin and Cameroon. He uses the money to help his ailing congregation and also the poor. Unfortunately, his activities have caught the attention of Deles and Mannys employers so he has to swept. He makes no apologies for what he has done but tries to get Dele to understand that love comes at a cost. Girl Deles girlfriend whom he has been dating for less than half a year. They met under unlikely circumstances and happened to fall madly in love with each other. Dele tries to remain distant from her because of the nature of his job but she thinks that he doesnt love her or that he has another lover. Shes emotionally confused and doesnt know whether to stay with him or leave him.
