QUEENS PARK Two health care providers in Nipissing have received funding grants through different programs, MPP Vic Fedeli announced today. Dr. Wendy Graham received base funding of $6,658 for March 2012 through the Inter-Professional Care (IPSC) 500 Nurses Initiative to support the salary and benefits of one full-time equivalent registered nurse. This funding will be annualized in the current 2012-13 fiscal year at up to $79,900. The position was awarded for delivery of primary care in the priority areas of Aging at Home, End of Life Care and Mental Health and Addictions. As well, CMHA Nipissing Regional Branch received $ 5,100 in new base funding for 2011-12 for the Supportive Housing for People with Problematic Substance Program. These funds will annualize to $20,500 in the 2012/13 funding year. Its a pleasure to be able to announce these grants which will support the provision of vital health care services in Nipissing, Fedeli said.
