The Ne Secondary Education Curriculum (NSEC) of the SEDP is cognitive, affective manipulative based focus is on substantive and process

content, values development, productivity and technology. The Eight Subject Areas in NSEC are: English Mathematics Science and Technology Technology and Home Economics Filipino Edukasyong Pangkalusugan Pangkatawan at Musika Physical Education Health and Music Edukasyong Pagpapahalalga (Values Education) Aralin Panlipunan Brief Description of the Subject Areas 1. Filipino The Filipino program emphasizes the development of

communications and literary skills focus in the Philippine, Afro-Asian and world literature as translated by Filipino writers.

2. Araling Palipunan (Social Studies) This subject is taught from Filipino perspective. The areas of study cover the following: First Year Second Year Philippine History and Government Asian Studies

Third Year Four Year

Economics World History

Edukasyon Pangkatawanan, Kalusugan at Musika (Physical Education) This area has three components namely- Physical Education, Health and Music, Citizen Army Training (CAT) remains a component of PHEM in the fourth year although each components has its own set of concept and strategies all lesson has been designed to complement, relate with and enhance one another Art is integrated in Music.

Edukasyong Pagpapahalaga (Values Education) As the cognitive base of values development being integrated in all subject areas of the curriculum, this course aims to develop skills for rational and value judgment. It makes use of the experiential approach and revolves around four concepts. Pagpapahalaga sa Sariling Wika (Valving), Pakikipag kapwa (Valving Others), Pagkamakabansa (Valving Ones Country) and Pagkamaka Diyos (Valving God)
