In the event that pressure should fail, the Pressure Safety Valve prevents air from escaping from the gripper, thereby avoiding a loss of clamping force. The workpiece will remain securely clamped in the gripper jaws. The Pressure Safety Valve is ideal for grippers that cannot be equipped with a mechanical safety device. Two parallel connected one-way valves automatically open the exhaust and close the supply in the event of a loss in pressure. If the Pressure safety valve is used properly, the maximum possible pressure drop is 0.2 bar over 48 hours.
