Summary

laying is a very important aspect of developing children. Through playing children explore, discover and experiment.

It allows them to use their senses which creates and ensures lasting learning experiences and memories.

The lesson creates the opportunity for learners to: Use informal language to talk about what they have seen. Observe, handle, inspect and reason about the objects in the school and at home. Describe and represent the characteristics and relationships between 2D shapes and 3D objects in a variety of positions and orientation. Follow and give directions. Describe his/her own position and position of objects in space using the appropriate vocabulary. Gradually move away from working with the concrete objects and recreate the objects and relationships in their minds. The study of shape and space improves the understanding and appreciation of patterns and beauty in the natural and cultural forms. The value of using mathematics in the real world is more evident in this section of maths.
