SUBJECT COMMERCIAL EXPLOSIVES GAPS/ISSUES & CONCERNED
1.) ON AUG. 24, 2010 THIS STN HAS ARRESTED (3) THREE PERSONS FOR ILLEGAL (DYNAMITE) FISHING. 2.) ON JUL. 24, 2010 THIS STN HAS ARRESTED (1) ONE PERSON FOR VIOL. OF RA 9516 ILLEGAL POSS. OF EXPLOSIVE (BLASTING CAPS).

LESSON/ LEARNED
The declined of fisheries, mangrove and coral reef are the primary concern due to the practices of illegal fishing.

RECOMM/SUGGESTION
Provide technical guidance & mentoring the fishermen about the effect of illegal fishing to the environment.

CONDUCTED SATURATION DRIVE ON ILLEGAL SELLING OF FIRECRACKERS DURING THE YULETIDE SEASON OF 2010 CONFISCATED SEVERAL ITEMS OF FIRECRACKERS AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF PHP14,000.00 MORE OR LESS. AND WERE BROUGHT TO THIS STN FOR PROPER DISPOSITION Selling of firecrackers to the minors were not seriously monitored, we knew that most of victims were minors. Strictly prohibited the selling of firecrackers to the minors. All retailers shall recommend them to provide permits before selling their firecrackers.
