Answer # 1:
Employees are the most valuable aspects of an organization. When
employees leave the organization, the HR must concern about the reason behind it. HR managers must collect information from the departing employees regarding why they are leaving. Moreover, must try to find out what are the possible reasons behind it such as Working Environment, Job Stress, Safety issue, payment etc.
HR department can collection information regarding why they are
leaving through HRIS. Also they can make a questionnaire for the departing employees to find out the possible reasons for leaving.
Information must be collected from departing employees because they
can help giving ideas to make new strategy against employee turnover. The best possible way to collect information from a departing employee by taking a in person exit interview and the interview must be taken before paying the last month salary or before issuing the experience certificate.
HR department must prepare a statistical comparison from the
collected information to show how much percentage of employees is leaving for what reason.
Answer # 2:
Employees, who already left the organization, it is quite difficult to
collect information from them because they are no more concern about the organization. The best possible way to collect information regarding their leaving, through the co-workers or colleagues, those who are still working for the organization.
To get feedback quickly the HR department can organize a re-union
gathering and invite the departed employees. Here HR managers can personally talk to them or give them a piece of paper and convince them to write something about the reason behind their leaving.
