HemoCue Hb 301 System Product Description The Hb 301 system is designed for quantitative point-of-care whole blood hemoglobin

determination in primary care or blood donation settings. The system consists of an analyzer together with microcuvettes. The microcuvette serves both as a pipett and as a measuring cuvette. The measurement takes place in the analyzer, which measures the absorbance of whole blood at an Hb/HbO2 isobestic point. The Hb 301 has an optical way to measure through the red cells and a special algorithm to calculate the hemoglobin concentration.
