I, Vishwam Agrawal, am here to present candidature for the post of Secretary of the Management Grid for the year 2012-13.

Academic Background
To start with I would like to tell you something about my academic background. I have done my schooling from Maharana Mewar Public School, Udaipur with 85.4% and 86.8% in 10th and 12th respectively. I have done graduation from Rajasthan Technical University, Jaipur in Computer Science Engineering with an aggregate of 70%. Currently I scored 69.3% in trimester 1 of PGDM-General.

Scholastic Achievements
Coming to my academic achievements, I was awarded as the Most Employable Student of the college in a batch of 900 odd students by S-Quotient. I got 2nd prize in Debate and 3rd prize in Group Discussion competition at inter college level. Was the event head for inter college fest in graduation; in fact the events held under me were completed as per schedule and with fair results. I was also the head of the anchoring and debating committee of the college. I represented my school in various debate competitions and also attended various workshops on Ethical hacking, IEEE, and Microsoft.

Extra-curricular Achievements
I believe in versatility and multitasking, and thus participate equally in extra curricular activities. I won first prize worth Rs.1.25 lakh in Group Dance competition at LNMIIT, Jaipur. And have also represented school and college in various dance competitions. I have played Badminton at the District level and won various prizes at the school level. I was a part of the school and college cricket team as well. I also organized a blood donation camp in college.

Life @ LBSIM
The journey at LBSIM has also been an interesting one so far. I have been a part of the Gurgaon Outreach team, Genesis-the marketing club, Sponsorship cell for Tatva, Tatva Marketing team, Razzmatazz club, Sparsh club. I actively participate in events conducted by academic and cultural clubs like the marketing club, general management club, e-cell, etc. I conducted an awareness campaign called TIRANGA-FLAGGING TH FLAGSHIP at LBSIM against the misuse and disrespect of the Indian flag. I actively participated in blood donation and clothes donation by Sparsh club.

Proposals for 2012-13

Following are few of the proposals I would like to put forward for the coming year. Firstly, a Running Trophy for the CLUB OF THE YEAR. This would inculcate a motivating spirit in these clubs to be more active and increase the participation of students. This would add value to the students as a whole. Providing official e-mail ids and visiting cards to the students to give them an official platform to face the industry.
Association with Toastmasters International for the development of the students. In fact I am in the process of contacting the concerned personnel to come up with the proposal. Make arrangements for basic stationary items to be sold in the canteen. Arrangement of transport facility for girls to nearby areas after dark. Conduct regular literary and learning sessions in clubs for knowledge enhancement of students. A book bank/ bulk fees for the students to be included in fees for providing the study material. Newspaper reading session in class followed by a discussion of a particular article. Screening of Motivational, inspirational and management related movies in auditorium. Increase participation in academic events like B-plans and case studies in various fests.
