Concerns:
Town Council must keep promises to meet the needs of current residents and protect natural green spaces. This project violates the Comprehensive Plan; allowing them to do so allows further development that will negatively affect the Town. Impact on Schools: increase class sizes, crowd schools, and create boundary changes for ALL of Purcellville students. High-traffic and Endless Congestion! HighDensity Housing or Over-Development in the Hirst Corridor will result in enormous traffic. Hirst Road will no longer be an effective bypass road through town. Adequate Buffers are not being adhered to and will include removal of 100 yr old trees in the floodplain and wetlands. Catoctin Creek and surrounding wetlands are the last stand of old forest growth in Purcellville harboring sensitive animals and creatures that make it special and worth saving. A Low-income Apartment Complex is NOT the face that Purcellville wants to present to visitors and residents as they enter our lovely town. The Bike/Pedestrian Crossing of the W&OD trail across Hirst Rd. will no longer accommodate residents safely.
The Developer wants to build an Apartment Complex with 176-205 Units with 423 Parking Spaces on 13 acres

This Growth puts our Town on the path to Big-Box retail that kills Main Streets and Small Businesses. Stop Town Councils agenda o n the backs of Tax Payers.
