PRAYER AFTER RECEIVING Eternal God, we give you thanks for this holy mystery in which you have

given yourself to us. Grant that we may go into the world in the strength of the spirit, to give ourselves for others. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. *DISMISSAL WITH BLESSING *SHARING THE LIGHT At this time, we will dim the lights in the sanctuary and spread the light of Christ. Receive the light from a neighbor and then pass it on. If you have a young child with you, please consider sharing a candle. 1. Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright round yon virgin mother and child. Holy infant, so tender and mild, sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace. 3. Silent night, holy night, Son of God, loves pure light; Radiant beams from thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth, DEPART IN THE PEACE OF CHRIST (Sunday, December 30, we will worship at 10 a.m. with a carol singing celebration.) Tonight is the night we measure all time against. Everything that happened yesterday is before Christ and everything that happens tomorrow is after him. Tonight we are living in the eternal now of Gods coming among us. His name is Emmanuel the God who is with us who is made out of the same stuff God is and who will not let either of us go. ~Barbara Brown Taylor Luke 2:1-20 from Past Perfection in Home by Another Way Berkeley United Methodist Church 2407 Berkeley Ave., Austin, TX.
