A WORK ORDER has been issued for drafting plans for a s'torm
drain on the section-of Stadium Way referred to above. It will take
60 man-days to complete the job. A contract ,nust then be let by the
Recreation and Parks Dept, with a deadline of June 30 for signing the
t!emtract. I:t' the money ( lii35, 000) is not committed . by then, it may re-
vert to the general fund. The job wou1d then be cancelled and more
trees l-est.
POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY SAVES LIBRARY PARK
LIBRARY OFF!CIALS and, regrettably, the e.nployees, want to black-
top the garden area west of the downtown library for a parking lot.
