This abstract is being submitted for oral presentation for 60 minutes.

Presentation title : Integrative Therapies for Chronic Pain and Inflammation Management

This presentational will review the various botanical, nutraceutical, and biological agents use for
the treatment of chronic and acute painful conditions seen by Nasher Pass in daily practice. This
presentation will review in group order, nutraceuticals, botanicals, and biologicals in the
treatment of various forms of chronic and acute pain. The mechanisms of action will be
elucidated for each of these agents and biochemical and pharmacological review will be done for
each agent.

Practical application of each of these agents will be discussed in the PowerPoint presentation.

Learning objectives for this presentation would be to elucidate the use of multiple naturopathic
modalities in the treatment of chronic and acute painful conditions commonly seen in
naturopathic family practice.

Presentation outline:

A PowerPoint presentation we discuss the use of traditional pain medications such as NSAIDs
and opioids along with there are adverse reaction profiles. A presentation will be made on the use
of non-toxic and highly effective naturopathic modalities such as nutraceuticals, botanicals, and
biologicals for the treatment of chronic and acute painful conditions.

Target audience will be naturopathic physicians, medical doctors, doctors of osteopathy, in


medical students.

Biographical sketch:
Dr. Hahn completed his undergraduate studies at the Sacramento state University in California.
He attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, where he received his
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree. Dr. Hahn completed his surgical residency at the
California Podiatry Hospital, in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Hahn received his degree as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of
Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Hahn is currently Board Certified in Foot
Surgery, by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has received advanced certification in
injection and radiowave sclerotherapy an endovascular RF ablation procedures. Dr. Hahn is a
member of the American College of Phlebology. He's an active staff member of the Gresham
Station Surgical Center and Legacy Good Samaritan hospital in Portland, Oregon. He is currently
in private practice in Portland, Oregon with an emphasis in the aesthetic medicine.
