Reviewed 20 December 2012 NEW You find mostly everything under one roof: high shopping, standard more affordable shopping, high restaurants, standard restaurants, coffee shops, apple shop, food court, link to the subway (called MRT at Singapore), you game it and most probably can find it at Ion. One tremendous feature is that you can also access the neighboring shopping complexes at Orchard road (Takashiyama department store and Isetan store) through the Ion underground air con alleys. Furthermore you can even cross Orchard road underground

and connect direct with Tang department store,... And if this is not enough, if you drive at Singapore, parking fee at Ion is the cheapest around this central area of Singapore and since the place may be quite full sometimes, they also have valet parking service at Level 5 for free! No excuse not to park at Ion and go explore Orchard,... Happy Ion experience! Visited December 2012 3.

Reviewed 19 November 2012 This is one very huge mall located on Orchard Road. You can practically find almost anything you need under one roof. From high end expensive world renowned brands to some very good bargain goods, you can get it all in Ion. Their F & B outlets are also extensive where you can find almost all the world's cuisine here. Its spacious, clean and very well decorated mall. My favorite mall in Singapore at this moment. 5.

Harisap London Top Contributor 54 reviews 34 attraction reviews Reviews in 10 cities 11 helpful votes Great shopping centre Reviewed 14 September 2012 via mobile A great architectural structure but most of the shops are below ground on many levels. The vast number of corridors and levels can be confusing and disorientating but the quality and variety of shops are great and make up for it. Ground floor has the high end shops but venture further in and down and you will get to the more "affordable" high street brands. Right on Orchard Road MRT so can't miss it.

Compared to other malls on Orchard Road, it was a more standard style of shopping centre, with a large open central area and concourses around the sides. The centre section of the roof was

glass, so the daylight lit up the whole complex. Seven amazing floors of all sorts of shops, cafes and restaurants provide for an unlimited selection of shopping options. My personal favourite part of the complex was the two bridges across the central space, each with a caf on them, so I could enjoy a coffee whilst sitting in amongst the Christmas decorations very cool! Also, the courtyard at the front of the building was full of activities and seemed to be a popular hub with locals and tourists just to hang out and watch the world go by, especially at night. 3.

Reviewed on September 17, 2012 Jurong Point is one of my childhood places. Ive been going there my whole life, even before it had an extension and an indoor bus interchange. It has almost everything. NTUC, popular bookstore, golden village, clothing stores, you name it! It is like a shopping paradise for almost everybody. The downside of Jurong Point though, is its atmosphere. It is very rowdy most of the times, with working adults and school kids. It is rather difficult to move around, especially during the peak hours. When you feel famished during those peak hours, it is rare to find a seat, even at those Banquet food courts. During the weekends, it is filled with foreigners and it is jam packed. So, I do think Jurong Point is a place for everyone, if you can stand the claustrophobic atmosphere anyways.

Point Shopping Centre is not located at Jurong Point MRT station. Many people get confused, even some Singaporeans! Jurong Point Shopping Centre is located at Boon Lay MRT! Few stops further away from Jurong MRT station. I study near Jurong Point and frequent that area almost every single day Ive to attend school. Jurong point is arguably the largest heartland mall in Singapore. Especially since they renovated and expanded their premises, it is much bigger now. It is so big that I often get confused between the new and old wing. At times when I want to dine at Swenson, I get lost very easily and ended up walking round and round the mall. Mostly, I visit Jurong Point for their food( I am sure thats the case for most people!!) It has an AMAZING variety of food chains now that their new wing is up. Whatever fast food you have in mind, they have it. As for restaurants, it consists of mainly mid range restaurants such as Swensons, Fig&Olive, Soup restaurant etc. They are also the first shopping mall to have this unique Japan street whereby it houses many Japanese restaurants! Perfect for Jap food lovers!

Reviewed on May 15, 2012 Being someone living in the West, there was hardly anywhere that I could go other than this particular shopping mall and more recently, the newly operating JCube mall. Throughout the years, Jurong Point has changed alot that it had now separated into 2 wings - JP1 and JP2. Here in Jurong Point, there is so many variety of food, that you would probably have to stop to think of your preferences. The food are mainly in the basement of both building and the 2nd floor for JP1, the older of the two building. There's even a Japanese foodstreet at the basement if you're up for
10

that particular cuisine. If not, there's always other choices like Carl's Junior, KFC, McDonald's,BK or Long John Silver's. If you're in for halal asian food, there's a banquet that offers extensive menu for the Muslims. There's even a Komala's branch within Banquet. My ultimate favorite would the small shop for the Gogo sausages that I love so much. It's hidden in a corner so you might have a little bit of exploring to do. Shopping-wise, this might not be the mall for you as it is just the same old brands, but rest assure if you were to shop here, there's everything for everyone. The kid in me loves the Kiddy Palace, though it is a tad bit too small and cramp at the toys section. There's also this shop at the basement of JP2 that sells stuff for you to make your very own accessories. I bought stuff from to shop to make my very own charm bracelet and it turned out quite nicely, at a cheaper price too! For movie goers, you could go to the newly renovated GV cinemas at JP1. Honestly, there isn't much difference, probably just a few refurnishment of furniture and that's it, I would assume but it's still pretty decent. There's also Coffee Bean and Starbucks, should you want to take a break from all the walking/exploring/shopping. That's a plus point for me as a girl who doesn't really fancy shopping, and probably most guys who would rather wait than walk around with their other half shopping. One bad point for the mall however is the fact that it's situated at the one of the few busy station on the west ( the other being Clementi and Jurong East). Also, dining would be extremely hard as I could hardly find space at any restaurant during dinner time especially, so if you want to have dinner, try coming earlier or have your friend come earlier to get a spot for you. One more attraction for me to the mall is the fact that is just opposite the Jurong Park (I'm not too sure if that's what it's call). A little walk in the park with a Pure double chocolate frappe from Coffee Bean had started to become one of the highlight of my post-shopping trip with my friends.

Average Spent: $15 Branch Location: Jurong Point Recommend to a friend: "WIth Jurong Point, there is no need to go to Orchard"

Reviewed on May 10, 2012 When I first moved into Jurong West, I lamented over the fact that it was so far from the 'civilization'. To me, Boon Lay is not the most ideal place to live in because of its very far location from the city area. However, to my surprise, Jurong point proves to be the mini orchard! In fact, it is better than Orchard because it provides the same enjoyment, but at a much cheaper price. You name the shop you want to go or eatery place you want to visit. It is really very hard to find what Jurong Point does not have. GV? check. Fairprice? check. Thai Express? check. Popular? check. Bee Cheng Hiang? check. Money Changer? Check. Everything is there. In fact, near Jurong Point, at the MRT station there, there is this small coffee shop that sells a pack of chicken rice at $1.50! This is the rarest thing I have seen in Singapore. The quality of the chicken rice is not compromised at all! It's almost the same as the hawker centre kind of chicken rice! The added point for Jurong point is that it is really huge.It comprises of both new and old buildings. With such a large building, it would take almost 1.5 hours or more to explore! For girls, there are certainly small and large gift shops to kill your time. I always find cute handphone straps from the stores in the basement. Some more, Jurong Point is so near to the National Library and Sakae Sushi (just 5 minute walk away!). All in all, Jurong Point is really a great place for the family to relax.

Jurong Point is definitely one of my all-time favorite shopping malls that I can visit anytime! (I live near the mall.) As exaggerating as it sounds, my friend and I would normally spend more than 5 hours walking around the mall without getting tired. Okay, we weren't really shopping - just chatting- but we still enjoyed ourselves exploring the different shops. There's basically almost everything that is needed for a good shopping expeirience. GV cinema (located at the 3rd floor of JP 1) for movies, Kopitiam to satisfy your hungry stomach, and even bookstores such as Popular just to name a few! One of the main reasons why I love Jurong Point so much is because ALL of my favorite stores are there - Watsons, Guardian, Action City, Mini Toons, etc. They are just under one roof! Even fast food restaurants such as Burger King, Long John Silver's, KFC, Macdonalds, Mos Burger, New York New York are found in the mall. Tell me, isn't that almost a complete list? Jurong Point used to be a small 3-storey mall until it recently expanded, featuring over 450 stores now! (That's even more than what Vivocity offers) There are not really many high-end stores here, so I would say its a place that's suitable for anyone! Not to mention that Jurong Point is an easily accessible place, be it by train or the bus. Personally, it will take me approximately 20 minutes to walk by foot. I would say Jurong Point is the pride and joy of people residing in the West!

Singapore 16/8/2012 I like the Cineleisure theatres - comfortable plush seats that don't rock and quite roomy to boot. There are also quite a lot of theatres, so make sure you know which floor you're headed to. I like the seats near the escalators on level 6, where you can chill out before a show or look out the glass facade and check out the view. The place is practically 24/7 - there are movie showtimes at midnight and even 2am, though most of the morning shows generally start from 10am onwards. Besides the usual online and phone methods, there are box offices on the Basement, 4th and 5th levels to buy tickets from - there's usually some card/membership promotion going on so it's cheaper to buy in person when you can. Give yourself a bit of time to get to the theatre - the lifts are quite often jammed with people, and the escalators are built slightly irritatingly so you have to make a big detour on the 2nd floor to get up.

New York, NY USA 12/8/2012 1 photo Cineleisure is a decent place to watch a movie in town. The seats are comfortable and roomy and clean. They have great snacks in the mall and at the snack shop. Id say my biggest gripe about the place is that it can get really crowded and can be a pain to get all the way up to the movie theatre. There are escalators which take a while, or elevators which take even longer. Weekends are crazy here, filled with kids and I would

not recommend coming here then. Its a great place on the weekdays, in the morning or early afternoon. There is also a ticket booth in the basement, which makes it easier to get tickets, instead of heading all the way up to the theatres.

Singapore 1/8/2012 Cathay Cineplex Orchard Cineleisure is conveniently located in the heart of town. You can either access it via Somerset MRT or Orchard MRT; both are equally convenient. At Cathay Cineleisure, there are seats to wait around before the movie. Also, you can either make your ticket purchase at the basement or at level 6, which disperses the crowd a little. Cathay Cineleisure not only has many show times and cinemas, it also features many exclusive movie showcases like the recent Detective Conan: The Eleventh Striker. Another reason why I like to watch movies at Cathay Cineplexes is also due to the large variety of finger food items available as compared to the other cinema groups. With comfortable seats, ample leg room and excellent screens, it's definitely one of my favorite cinemas in town!

A mall with lots of shops for all ages. Cotton On, Tangs, MotherCare, Toys'R Us and even Daiso! Traffic to car park can be quite bad during peak hours, with many drivers cutting into the lanes by taking the "to Sentosa" lanes. Keep calm stay cool and just endure...you'll still get a parking lot with > 7 stories of car park. Xmas tree on Level 3 this year is so beautiful....just sit outdoors and take in the sunset...watch cable cars and just relax. 3.

Even if you don't you will find the views from the board walk and the roof top worth the visit. Vivo City is our favourite mall in Singapore and is extremely popular with the locals too. While extremely large Vivo City has more pedestrian brands than other malls such as the Orchard Ion. That said you will find a wide range of stores and products as well as eateries. You can easily spend a day wandering around the mall and purchase almost anything you can imagine. Big name brands include Uni Qlo, Ted Baker, Lacoste, Toys R Us and Gap, but there's a lot of specialty shops and some great little places to grab a snack. There is a good food court in the basement level. Toilets facilities and clean and well maintained and there are plentiful baby change rooms. The roof top park is well designed and thought out and there are out door play areas for children. The roof top is also the location of the booking office for Sentosa Island and also where you can catch the Sentosa Express. Be warned on weekends and public holidays people going to and from Sentosa can overwhelm the escalators and make getting in a little tough. However this is mainly during the morning and late evening.
