THE GIVING OF OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS The Call to Give.......................................................Owen Cayton The Offertory..........

Chancel Choir "O God, Beyond All Praising" Gustav Holst arr. Richard Proulx
O God, beyond all praising, we worship you today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; for we can only wonder at every gift you send, at blessings without number and mercies without end: we lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word, we honor and adore you, our great and mighty Lord. The flower of earthly splendor in time must surely die, its fragile bloom surrender to you, the Lord most high; but hidden from all nature the eternal seed is sown - though small in mortal stature, to heaven's garden grown: for Christ, the man from heaven, from death has set us free, and we through him are given the final victory. Then hear, O gracious Savior, accept the love we bring, that we who know your favor may serve you as our king; and whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill, we will triumph through our sorrows and rise to praise you still, to marvel at your beauty and glory in your ways, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise

People: We come to wrap ourselves in Gods healing presence. Leader: Let go of that which holds you back: your pride, your anger, your shame, your fear. People: We bring before God all that we are and all that we are not, knowing that God is love. All: Let us worship the Lord, who runs to us when we are far away and restores us to life. *THE HYMN OF PRAISE AND ADORATION..............................No. 25 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty *THE INVOCATION AND LORDS PRAYER (In Unison) God of healing and hope, you open your arms to accept us even before we turn to meet your welcome. You invite us to forgiveness before we offer words of repentance. Open our eyes to your vision of humanity made new, that we may see our brothers and sisters with your eyes of compassion and welcome. We pray this in the name of Jesus who taught us to pray for your Kingdom saying, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. * THE KYRIE.........No. 300 Lord, have mercy upon us.
