If you ever have been to a nutritionist or a diet planner, most of them would tell you to go for a vegetarian diet in order to maintain the best health and fitness regimes. However, in spite of the general perceptions that claim, having a strict vegetarian diet is the right thing to do in order to maintain the best health, being a strict vegetarian would also mean that you are depriving yourself of essential dietary nutrition required for a healthy life. Through this article, I wont be denying the fact that fruits and vegetables are a healthy source of proteins and vitamins. But what must be understood is that through the proper intake and balance of various kinds of food, you maintain not only the perfect physique that you have been striving to attain but also lead a healthy life, free of various kinds of physical distress and ailments. Reduced heart disease risk In spite of the general claim that eating meat and various kinds of nonvegetarian products increases the risk of heart diseases, eating nonvegetarian products actually puts you at a lower risk as compared to just eating vegetarian products. A recent study by the International Atherosclerosis Project found out that vegetarians are actually at a higher risk of cholesterol problems, risking heart diseases as compared to non vegetarians who made a point of eating something from each category of food. Stronger bones It is scientifically proven that only resorting to vegetarian diets can actually mean that your bones might be getting brittle and may have a

shorter life as compared to having a balanced diet. This is because vegetarians tend to take in excess amount of proteins resulting in their bodies excreting calcium because of the protein dominance that hinders calcium to get absorbed into the bones. While, if you take in a balanced diet, you are likely to live a much healthier life with stronger bones. Meat along with milk makes a perfect combination! Food tastes much better This is one point to which most of the non-vegetarians and even those who are forced to eat vegetarian food in order to maintain a better fitness regime would agree to. Undoubtedly, non-vegetarian food tastes much better as compared to eating plain vegetables, fruits and plants. From barbecued spicy tandoori chicken topped with a dash of lemon juice to simple grilled chicken breast with carrots and mushrooms, non-vegetarian food not only make a tantalizing meal but also a perfect balance of just the right food that you need in order to maintain a perfect and a healthy diet.
