ONE OF OUR INTERESTING PATIENTS

Joe Moser, a patient of Dr. Uhrichs for over 30 years, has an interesting hobby. Joe designs and makes wood furniture. He is retired and works with wood purely as a pastime in his home garage, but his pastime produces beautiful works of art that grace his home and the homes of his children and friends. Joe describes his art as abstract, not conventional square or rectangular tables that you would find at a furniture store. He says that he needs to find an irregular piece of wood with a peculiar grain before he can begin a project. Joe uses aromatic cedar, cherry, or walnut to create his pieces. He states that he has made about two dozen items in the past 15 years consisting of coffee tables, end tables, sofa tables, benches, and bar stools. One of the tables he made was for his daughter, who lives in Hawaii. He made the table here and shipped it to her; she had to assemble it when it arrived. Joe also made a few tables for a potter in Door County, Wisconsin, in exchange for a full set of pottery. Joe says that he does not sell his work, as he is strictly an amateur; however, the people who have received his wood creations are truly blessed with a beautiful piece of furniture!

Please let us know ASAP if you need to cancel

We understand that unexpected emergencies pop up that require you to miss a dental appointment. However, we would like to hear from you as soon as you know you will have to cancel. When someone does not show up for an appointment, that time slot is lost for someone who might have really needed to get in to see Dr. Kaplan or Dr. Uhrich. Please call our office and let us know that you will not be able to keep your dental appointment so that we can offer it to someone else. Thank you!

OUR YOUNG PATIENTS ARTWORK!

Often on school holidays, we have a lot of young people come in for their dental cleaning and exam. This past Presidents Day, February 18, 2013, we had several kids come in to visit us. We put their creativity to work, as we gave them paper, pencils, and crayons and asked them to make some artwork for our newsletter. Here are some of the beautiful and interesting pictures we received.
