Are you a UU Parent who would like to draw on our Core Values and UU philosophy more as you raise your children? Joy Hayes Gates is sharing her module on UU Parenting with us in a
series of five biweekly sessions. Sessions will be held after Sunday services at 12:30 PM, and childcare will be provided. Dont fret if you missed the first session on Feb 24. You can still join us for the second lesson on March 17 and come away with good usable information and fresh ideas for parenting. Hope to see you there!

Breaking Bread and Building Bridges Immigration Campaign: Feb 1-May 16.
Breaking Bread and Building Bridges is part of a larger strategy to lift the voices of faith communities at the local level and turn the tide for immigrants rights. Local events such as potlucks, vigils, and detention visitation connect advocates with those most directly affected by unjust immigration policies. For tickets or more information, call 756-7491. April 7 2013 Walk for Autism April is Autism Awareness Month in the United States, and April 2 has
been declared World Autism Awareness Day by the United Nations. On that same day, Mayor Malcolm Duncan and the City Council will proclaim April as Autism Awareness Month in Waco. To kick off (please pardon the pun!) Autism Awareness Month, were having our annual Walk for Autism at Baylor Universitys Fountain Mall from 2-5 pm. More than a typical Walk, its more like a festival: family-friendly, with music, lots of games and activity booths for kids of all ages, and a Resource Fair with area agencies and providers that serve families affected by autism. Were walking to raise awareness and funds, and to celebrate the potential of our kids/youth/adults and their families were walking on that one day in support of all those who walk with autism every day of their lives. together community members from Waco, Temple, and Killeen to walk and raise money to support lifesaving research and programs to save babies born prematurely or with birth defects. The program will be presentations from three different families on ideas and experiences with discussing race with children and youth and in teaching young people to treasure and appreciate the oneness of the human race. March 21, 2013 Betty Canning and I are sprucing up the grounds around the Fellowship and are about to tackle the woodsy area where the memorial stones are placed. It sure would be great if a few more folks could come by to help on Fridays after lunch. Just bring a rake, and show up. We sure would appreciate your time and energy. Get Your Hands Dirty at UUFW UUFW Community Camping Trip Anyone?
The Derricks, Nobises and VanWagners are going to Big Bend National Park for a week, leaving on or about Apr. 28 or 29. We'll be pulling our RV trailers and probably staying in the Rio Grande Village Campground (where tent camping is also available). (The Derricks will then spend the following week at the Davis Mts.
