Back in 2001, I visited my old elementary school to talk

about being an author. I ran into my old lunch ladyshe
still worked there! She told me about all of her grandkids
and it blew my mind. My lunch lady had a life outside of the
cafeteria?! I went home and began writing a story about a
lunch lady. The story grew in my sketchbook over the years.
One day, I came across all of the comics that I made as a
kid. Thats when it hit methis story was meant to be a
comic! It was the most natural format for this story about
a crime-fighting lunch lady! JARRETT J. KROSOCZKA
